Following the 1st very successful conference held this year in Dubai, Mare Forum continues to partners with Drydocks World & Maritime World to present the  “2nd Mare Forum Dubai 2015 -Global Leaders Maritime Summit II-  to be held on Wednesday January 21st 2015 at The Meydan Hotel in Dubai, UAE.

The summit will be held again under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.The royal patronage accorded to this event accentuates the importance of the growth of the Maritime and Shipping sector in Dubai and its growing recognition as a global maritime centre.
The 2nd Mare Forum Dubai 2015 ” The Dubai Global summit of Marine and Maritime leaders, will bring together leaders of both the regional and international marine, maritime, shipping, commodities, banking, energy and services industries and will be the second of a series of international forums in Dubai with the focus on the world-wide attention to the growing importance and emerging stature of Dubai & the region within industry circles.This Mare Forum event will be the second of its kind in the Middle East, Indian sub-continent and Africa.
The main sessions of the Summit will focus topics and debate issues relating to:
The Big Picture: The Big Picture-global geopolitical considerations today and in the future and examine the world economy, its energy and resource needs and challenges, trade patterns and how this will impact on the maritime industry
Global Trade, energy and commodities outlook: Global Trade, energy and commodities outlook focusing on the supply and demand for oil & gas, iron ore, steel, coal, grains and other major commodities. This will take into account the views put forward by producers, buyers and traders from different parts of the globe, debate issues relating to the commodities markets and routing issues and the signs of improved market outlook for commodities. The session will also consider the role of gas in an expanding energy market, the opportunities that the offshore industry can provide to the shipping industry, the challenges and upsides for oil and gas exploration & production and the basics for growth in the LNG market.
Is trust back?

Views from shipbrokers, traders, analysts and shipowners and operators will be debated with the session examining the liquid, dry bulk and container market outlook as well as the outlook per ship type. Issues on how shipping can remain profitable in a changed market economy, future shipping trends, the creation of a profitable and sustainable shipping industry and trends in shipping rates will be discussed. Offshore perspectives including the economic viability of environmentally friendly vessels and the dynamics in relation to China will be debated.

Sea Tourism & Luxury Yacht Segments Yachting; Regulatory and Fiscal Issues and Finance and Investments.  With the right climate and a large target audience in the area yachting is big in the Gulf. In this session we bring together yacht owners, builders, brokers, flag states, managers and investors to talk about the outlook and the sustainability of the market in the area. The top ten biggest yachts are currently owned by influential people out of the Middle-East. How can this region become even more attractive for yacht professionals? What are the owners’ needs and what implications does this market have on the order book?
Investments and financing - new ships, new fuels, environmentally friendly business innovations and technological advances: Investments and financing issues especially those relating to new ships, new fuels, environmentally friendly business innovations and technological advances will no doubt draw a lot of attention. The economic issues relating to such investments, the advantages and disadvantages of such technology, the role of LNG in the future, ballast water management and the timing of implementing new regulations are certain to elicit plenty of interest. Where will the financing for these new investments come from-the banks or through private and public resources?
 The future of the Dubai Maritime Cluster: Closer to home, a full conference session will be again devoted to the future of the Dubai and the Regional Maritime Cluster. This will examine the Dubai dynamics of today and the future and examine what the Emirate will look like in the next 10 to 20 years and beyond. The strategies and goals for this sector including topics relating to logistics, taxes, shipbuilding, shipping law, ports and terminals and attendant service industries will evoke interest.
