The Next Wave in Livestock Shipping

Over the past few years, tragic accidents have highlighted the severe shortcomings in the maritime transport of live animals and their detrimental impacts on a series of critical issues: the maritime safety, the working conditions of seafarers, the sanitary quality of transportation, marine and atmospheric pollution, and, of course, the living conditions of animals on board. It is urgent to address these issues. This international conference focuses on the regulatory and technical challenges of maritime transport of live animals, aiming to propose concrete solutions and harmonize practices.
